Planning where to live during the PGCE course

If you are planning to move to Leicester for the PGCE year, living close to the University is convenient during the weeks you are based at the university at the beginning of each Phase. However please take into account that you will be spending spend two thirds of the year off campus, in placement schools, and therefore it is often better to live within walking distance of a public transport hub – for example St Margaret’s bus station https://www.leicesterbuses.co.uk/st-margarets-bus-station. From there you can easily travel to most of the county.
